Twenty years of patience is never excessive when the result corresponds entirely to expectations. The reclusive years of ageing in our warehouses: Domaine Château de Fontpinot 1986 has profited by them to acquire a formidable personality.

But alors!, before bowing to the desires of the Cognac aficionado, one must have 5 minutes of patience. This brief moment, before tasting in order to open its full personality.

Full of seduction, Domaine Château de Fontpinot 1986 20 years old is ready to deploy all its charms for the upcoming year's end festivities. Fontpinot has already impressed the tasters at Wines & Spirits Challenge International by conferring it their 2007 Gold Medal.

It was exclusively harvested, distilled, aged for 20 years in oak barrels, blended and bottled at Château de Fontpinot. Fontpinot lies in the heart of the Frapin family’s 300 plus hectares estate located in Grande Champagne, which it has cultivated for eight centuries. Today, the estate is tended by cellar master Olivier Paultes, and wine maker Patrice Piveteau.

Of Persistant Pleasures

Of a golden brillance, this splendid Reserve offers a range of taints and colors gained from long oak ageing. Take the time to admire it. The bouquet is a spontaneous explosion of white flowers, iris, jasmine…enveloped by vanilla, quince marmalade, and almond notes.

Just five, 350 litre, casks of the Château Fontpinot 1986 have been produced, all carefully monitored by the BNIC.

The tasting reveals ample and persistant saveurs: pineapple, fig, quince…all underlined by hints of the Tarte Tatin of our childhood.

Richly concentrated, the Domaine Château de Fontpinot 1986 20 years old will better reveal its personality with a small splash of water. Try it!
