Cognac Blues Passions 2022
Since the beginning in 1994, Cognac Blues Passions takes place in Cognac, in the heart of the city.
This Festival has selected artists from the world over to perform on the banks of the Charente.
Set around a screen of magnificent greenery, all the sites bring an original and thought-provoking look at Afro-American music.
COGNAC BLUES PASSIONS is above all guided by a desire to share and to meet people – five days of music that have the ambition to unite people.
Artists and Groups such as Larkin Poe, KingFish or Lilly Wood and The Prick partnered with Cognac Frapin during the Festival in 2022. We received them at the Château Fontpinot.
Larkin Poe
Originally from Calhoun, Georgia the two sisters make an impact by publishing a different EP for each season of the year, this was the beginning of “Larkin Poe” …
After being noticed by Elvis Costello they continued their ascension and won the prize for the best emerging artist album of the Blues Foundation.
They were also nominated for the Grammy Award for best contemporary blues album in 2020.
They were performing on stage on July 6th 2022.
KingFish
Born in 1999, the 21 Years old man named Christone Ingram is one of the best blues guitarists in the world.
Always compared to BB King, he represents the next generation of blues musicians.
He already shared the stage with The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Buddy Guy, Keb Mo, Samantha Fish and played for Michelle Obama in the White House …
He was performing on stage on July 8th 2022.
Lilly Wood and The Prick
After platinum and gold albums, and the worldwide success of the «Prayer In C» remix, Lilly Wood come back with a 4th album with a pop and electro tunes.
For the launch of one of their clips YWMM, Lilly Wood and The Prick is partnering with GOOD PLANET, the foundation of the famous photographer, reporter, director and ecologist Yann Arthus-Bertrand, for a lasting collaboration throughout the launch of the album.
